Today, today was a great day. This week was one of those weeks, where I realized how good the world has been to me. So this month I took it upon myself to rent my house to a section-8 family in need. I found an obese father who has lost 100 pounds since his gastric bypass surgery, and a tired mother who is raising 2 boys and 2 girls, which are all under 5 years of age.
Many years ago in Harlem New York, I too lived in a section-8 apartment in New York City. The stability it provided my mother while my father recovered from a vicious stabbing was a vital in my mental growth during those childhood years.
Stability is key in a child’s growth, I have now guided the direction of four children to whom I am strangers.
